PVC Strip Types

Redwood strip curtains are manufactured in a transparent soft PVC material having outstanding see-through qualities which allow light to pass through with minimum distortion. Redwood's Doorstrip system offers a range of flexible PVC Strip Curtain solutions for commercial and industrial applications designed to suit the prevailing weather conditions. These doors can be designed by using light weight PVC strips with a small overlap for internal pedestrian doors to heavy grade PVC strips with maximum overlap for the most exposed doorways.

Redwood's Strip Curtain solutions are the most economical solutions to protect your employees & goods from adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, humidity, dust, insects and draughts where uninterrupted passage is essential.

PVC strip comes in several different grades, sizes and colours each having its own application. Please see the list below to ascertain which type of PVC best suits your requirements.

Standard PVC Strip

Very Light Duty 100mm x 2mm (internal) - Used in areas with very light pedestrian traffic or fragile goods,and light industrial doorways.

Light Duty 200mm x 2mm (internal) - Pedestrian and pallet trolley access, for wind and dust exclusion areas. Commonly used in food processing industries and for internal wall and doorway seperation.

Medium Duty 300mm x 3mm (internal/external) - For outdoor or indoor conditions requiring contamination exclusion. Pallet trolleys, light fork lift and pedestrian use.

Heavy Duty 400mm x 4mm (external) - Outdoor or indoor conditions requiring significant weather/environmental exclusion and heavy/frequent pedestrian and fork lift traffic.

Standard 'Ribbed' PVC Strip

200mm Light Duty (normal) - Any indoor areas where there is regular contact with the strips which could lead to scratching and reduce visibility.

300mm Medium Duty (internal/external) - Areas where there is regular contact between the strips and fork lift trucks which are likely to scratch the curtains and reduce visibility.

400mm Heavy Duty (external) - Areas where there is regular contact between the strips and fork lift trucks and other vehicles which are likely to scratch the curtains and reduce visibility.

Polar & Super Polar Grade PVC Strip

Polar PVC strip is specifically designed for coldstore or refrigeration applications. We can supply two grades of polar PVC:

Polar Strip - For use with refrigeration applications down to -32°C.

Super Polar Strip - For use with refrigeration applications down to -60°C.

Welding Grade PVC Strip

Specifically designed for use with welding boothes and mobile welding screens.

Weld Strip comes in three colours: Dark Bronze, Dark Green & Ultra Violet Red.
